Jeremiah 29:7

“I am deeply passionate about She Leads because I’ve witnessed first hand the incredible potential that resides within young women. She Leads serves as the perfect avenue to unlock that potential. I firmly believe that God desires to partner with young women as they lead and positively impact their cities and communities, especially in these transformative years. It’s my mission to empower and equip these young women to recognize their God-given worth and understand the profound difference they can make in the world. She Leads is a calling to help young women embrace their unique gifts, skills, and talents and lead with purpose and godly conviction.”

Advice for Young Woman Leaders:

“Embrace bravery and courage. Have faith and take bold steps. During these moments, you will encounter and understand the presence of God in ways you’ve never imagined. When you wholeheartedly trust and follow His guidance, your life will be infused with purpose and significance. It will be a life that truly matters and leaves a lasting positive impact on the world.”

Zephaniah 3:17

“I have two daughters and have always told them that they can be leaders and encouraged them to step in to positions when called upon. I think it’s a beautiful thing when God places leadership abilities in females and they listen to that prompting and follow God’s will for their lives.”

Advice for Young Woman Leaders:

“Don’t be afraid to ask the questions that you have. Sometimes just asking opens doors to opportunities and relationships. It shows vulnerability and willingness to grow and develop yourself. Listen to the small whispers that God is putting in your heart and allow yourself to dream about those ideas and desires.”

Dr. Karen A. Dowling I VP for Diversity and Intercultural Integration

Psalm 23

“Adolescence was a very trying time for me. Being a young," independent" thinker with little guidance, I experienced a lot of adversity that could have been avoided. I had to learn the hard way, which, in turn, created a lot of confusion in my life. People pleasing, lack of motivation, and low self-esteem crept into my life easily. However, I was the person that many of my peers came to when they needed a shoulder, a listening ear, or needed some advice. Others saw in me that I didn't see in myself. It took me years later, transitioning into adulthood, and God bringing into my life women who helped me to see my own greatness and how God was positioning me even in adolescence to be the leader He called me to be. I have been the teenage girl, trying to find her way and feeling inadequate and lost, wanting to be this person that I see for myself but feeling like she is so far away. It's because of my own journey as a teenage girl and the difference it made in having the support and guidance that I am passionate about She Leads. I want young women to know, they have been made for greatness and a purpose. I want young women to know that their uniqueness is a part of, needed, and what qualifies them for the bigger picture. I want young women to know the gift is in you, and you can do this. We are here to help you.“

Having mentors and even a section of cheerleaders by your side throughout your journey is vital for every young girl and She Leads is working to ensure that more young girls find their passion for leadership!”
